Schwake was signed as a second-choice goalkeeper with upside in the offseason, moving to MLS after spending his entire professional career in Spain and Scotland. The 24-year-old was on the bench for all but one of Nashville's league matches, clearly beating out fellow first-year Boy In Gold Xavier Valdez for the number two spot.
