2025 in review

Jordan Knight was the last addition Nashville SC made to their senior roster in 2025, signing the Canadian fullback from Huntsville City FC to a first-team contract. The versatile defender, a product of the Toronto FC academy and Columbus Crew MLS NEXT Pro system, has been a standout for Huntsville City over the last 18 months, capable of playing on either flank as a fullback or winger.

Knight scored five goals for Huntsville in 2025, one of the more dynamic players on the squad when healthy and seemingly a more attacking fullback option for Nashville. Surprisingly, even with Dan Lovitz's late injury and no healthy left-back options, Knight was hardly a factor, making the match-day squad just once in MLS play.

His lone appearance came in Nashville's 2-2 draw with Aston Villa, and his ability to get in behind the defense and stretch the backline showed why Nashville are so high on him.

Moment of the season

Knight scored a brilliant solo goal against Atlanta United 2 for Huntsville, taking the ball all the way from his own half to beat several defenders and the 'keeper.

Looking ahead

On a first-team contract and with a full preseason, Knight should have more chances to impact Nashville next year. At 23 years old, he's still developing, and his natural athleticism and two-footedness allow him to feature in a variety of roles.

If he doesn't make a clear impact in preseason, though, don't be surprised if Nashville loan him out to free up an international roster slot.
