19-year-old midfielder Matthew Corcoran joined Nashville just before the start of the 2025 campaign, and became the first teenager to start a match for the club. By the end of the year, he had worked his way into the starting lineup, and has an incredibly high ceiling going forward.

2025 was a season of growth for Corcoran, and there are many takeaways for the best prospect to come through Nashville so far.
In MLS play, he struggled to earn minutes early in the season, and it was hard to blame him or manager BJ Callaghan when there were guys like Eddi Tagseth, Patrick Yazbek, and Gastón Brugman ahead of him. On the bright side, he was able to beat out Bryan Acosta in the depth chart by the end of the year and earn a few scattered minutes. Corcoran started the final two games of Nashville's playoff series against Inter Miami, fully earning the trust of the coaching staff.
