NASHVILLE, TN — On Wednesday, Nashville SC announced that defender Andy Nájar has signed a new contract through the 2026 season, with an option through December 31, 2027. Nájar, 32, had a career-best year in his first season with Nashville, earning a spot on the MLS All-Star team and ending the year with three goals and 10 assists.

As reported by SixOneFive Soccer, Nájar's new contract rewards his performance as arguably the best right back in MLS last season, giving him a deserved pay increased from his 2025 guaranteed compensation of $280,000.
"I am ecstatic to be back with the team for another season where we have so much to play for, and I cannot wait to compete with my teammates for more trophies and to make more history for the club."

Nájar is set to continue his role as a core piece of Nashville's attack, partnering with newly-signed Designated Player Cristian Espinoza on the right flank.
"Andy was a key contributor to our club’s success last season and was rewarded with an MLS All-Star selection for his efforts," said Nashville SC President of Soccer Operations and General Manager Mike Jacobs in the club's press release. "We are excited to have Andy as a part of the future of our club."
Nashville will open their 2026 campaign on Tuesday, February 17, on the road against Atlético Ottawa in the Concacaf Champions Cup.
