We've got a must-win match on the docket at Geodis Park on Saturday.
After losing the first leg of their Round One MLS Cup Playoff series against Inter Miami, Nashville SC enter the match needing a win to save their season. A loss would eliminate them from the playoffs and end their 2025 campaign, while a win would force a game three in Miami next week.
Can the 'Yotes pull off an improbable upset and finally get a win over Lionel Messi and the Herons?

Fans going to the match should be aware that Nashville SC and Second Harvest Food Bank of Middle Tennessee are hosting a special food drive before the game. With SNAP benefits being unfunded as of November 1, nearly 700,000 Tennessee families could be impacted.
Fans can donate non-perishable items in special donation bins outside Gates A-G.

Inter Miami snapshot
Inter Miami have had Nashville's number in the Lionel Messi era, plain and simple. Since the Argentine World Cup winner joined in the summer of 2023, the Herons have won seven of nine meetings, drawing the other two, and outscoring Nashville 21 to nine in the process. They've been nothing short of dominant.
That dominance was again on display in South Florida last weekend. In a far cry from their Decision Day match, Miami pinned Nashville back for much of the match, and didn't allow them to create anything going forward. Yes, Messi scored twice, but the real standout was a complete defensive effort from Miami, a type of performance that has been all too rare from one of the league's most porous backlines.
