NASHVILLE, TN – Nashville SC are finalizing a deal to re-sign midfielder Bryan Acosta for the 2026 season with an option for 2027, sources have confirmed to SixOneFive Soccer.
Acosta, 32, joined Nashville ahead of the 2025 campaign and made 19 appearances (four starts) in all competitions. The former Designated Player has six seasons of MLS experience with Nashville, FC Dallas and the Portland Timbers. His contract option was declined after the season.

While he played less than 600 minutes in 2025, he's a full international for Honduras and earned less than $200,000 last year. Bringing him back gives Nashville veteran and reliable depth at a very minimal cap hit, while still allowing them the budget flexibility to make some bigger signings.
UPDATED DECEMBER 17: Nashville SC confirmed Acosta's re-signing on Wednesday, on a one-year deal with an option for 2027.
“Bryan fits so well into our group both on and off the field, and we are excited to have him return in 2026,” said Nashville SC President of Soccer Operations and General Manager Mike Jacobs in the club's statement.
