2025 report cards

Teal Bunbury finished his time in Nashville as a unheralded hold up forward, always willing to come off the bench and do the dirty work, but lacking much of a scoring threat.

Teal Bunbury did a commendable job coming in late in games to give Nashville a target forward to play off of and hold up play, but couldn't provide any type of goal threat.
Surprisingly, Bunbury had the third-highest shot-per-game total at 2.8 per match, behind only Hany Mukhtar (3.54) and Sam Surridge (3.17). The veteran striker worked hard and did a lot of dirty work, but without posing any type of goal threat (his last goal in all competitions was in May 2024), his entrance into matches often felt like it came at the expense of Nashville's attacking output.
In all, though, Bunbury did what he was asked. At this stage in his career he was never going to be a dynamic goal-scorer, and he ended up being the target of a lot of unwarranted frustration.
Moment of the season
While Bunbury didn't find the net in an official competition for Nashville, he was dominant in their friendly win over Huntsville City FC, burying two headers without breaking a sweat.
Looking ahead
Bunbury's time in Nashville ended when his contract expired at the end of the year. Set to turn 36 at the start of the 2026 season, he will likely have offers from other clubs, or could opt to stay in Nashville and continue his off-field role.
