NASHVILLE, TN – On Wednesday, Nashville SC announced that midfielder Edvard Tagseth has signed a new contract with the club through December 2027, with a club option through December 2028.

"My first year here was amazing, and I am very happy and proud to extend my contract,” said Tagseth in the club's press release. “I am even more motivated to work hard and become a better player for this club and to help this team, and I am excited to continue playing for the fans of Nashville."

Tagseth signed with Nashville ahead of the 2025 season and instantly became a crucial part of the squad. The 25-year-old made 38 appearances (35 starts) in all competitions, including starting the US Open Cup final and all three of Nashville's playoff matches and logging four assists.

"Eddi has the ability to positively impact our team in so many different ways and brings significant value to our group,” said Nashville SC President of Soccer Operations and General Manager Mike Jacobs.  “He will continue to be a key contributor to both our present and future."
