Geodis Park to host Music City Rugby Showdown in April

The Major League Rugby match will be the first non-soccer sporting event hosted at Geodis

NASHVILLE, TN – Nashville's Geodis Park will host its first non-soccer sporting event later this spring. The largest soccer-specific stadium in the United States and Canada will host Major League Rugby's Music City Showdown on Sunday, April 19, pitting the New England Free Jacks against the Chicago Hounds.

Founded in 2017, Major League Rugby is the top professional rugby league in North America and consists of six teams from across the United States including the Free Jacks, the Hounds, Anthem RC, California Legion, Old Glory D.C. and the Seattle Seawolves.

The Music City Rugby Showdown is the latest in a growing lineup of events at GEODIS Park that has included concerts by Shania Twain, Guns N’ Roses, Green Day, P!NK and Tyler Childers, and major global sporting events such as the inaugural FIFA Club World Cup 2025™, multiple United States Men’s and Women’s National Team matches and a MexTour 2025 fixture between the Mexican Men’s National Team and the Korea Republic.   

Fans can purchase discounted tickets to the match during an exclusive presale window by using the code ‘NASH25’ here beginning Thursday, Jan. 29 at 10 a.m. CT. General ticket sales will open Friday, Jan. 30 at 10 a.m. CT at Ticketmaster.com.
