Huntsville City FC sign defender Blake Bowen

Huntsville City FC announced on Thursday the signing of defender Blake Bowen. The 24-year-old full back is the fourth defender signed to Huntsville's 2025 MLS NEXT Pro roster.

“Blake is a player our organization has tracked for a number of years,” said Matt Cairns, Huntsville City FC Director of Soccer Operations, in the official press release. “His versatility, quality and character all stand out as reasons why we believe he will be a great success in Huntsville.”

Bowen, a 2023 SuperDraft selection by the Seattle Sounders, spent the last two seasons with Tacoma Defiance in MLS NEXT Pro. In total, he made 44 appearances, scoring once and adding nine assists, in addition to a goal and an assist in his first MLS NEXT Pro playoff appearance.
