Nashville SC got their 2026 campaign off to an ideal start, beating the New England Revolution 4-1 on Saturday. With three points in the bag, Sam Surridge and Warren Madrigal were named to MLS's Team of the Matchday for their performances in the win.

Surridge opened the scoring in the fifth minute, making it a brace by the 16th to show fans why he's been a popular pick to win the league's Golden Boot award.

Madrigal marked his debut with a goal and two assists. It was one of the best introductory performances ever, making him just the seventh player in MLS history to log three goal contributions in his debut.
