NASHVILLE, TN — Midfielder Moisés Véliz will return to Huntsville City FC for the 2026 season on loan from Tauro FC in Panama, sources have confirmed to SixOneFive Soccer.
Véliz, 21, spent the 2025 season on loan with Huntsville City FC in MLS NEXT Pro, where he played 1,192 minutes in 21 matches (11 starts), scoring one goal and adding two assists. Per American Soccer Analysis's "goals added" metric, Véliz was the eighth highest-rated defensive midfielder in MLS NEXT Pro last season (ironically behind Huntsville's Philip Mayaka).

Prior to joining Huntsville last season, Véliz spent four seasons with Tauro FC in his native Panama, making 59 appearances in all competitions and scoring two goals. The midfielder made six appearances for Panama's U23 side, and has been on the fringes of a first-team call-up, on the shortlist for their 2025 Concacaf Nations League squad.
Véliz should be set for a key role for Huntsville in 2026, and at 21 is still developing. He has the potential to be a first-team player for Nashville SC in the fiture.
