NASHVILLE, TN – On Thursday, Major League Soccer and Nashville SC announced the schedule for the 2026 MLS season.
Nashville SC season opener
Nashville SC will open their 2026 MLS campaign on Saturday, February 21, hosting the New England Revolution at Geodis Park. Nashville also opened their 2025 season at home against the Revolution, drawing 0-0.
FIFA World Cup break
With the 2026 FIFA World Cup coming to the United States, Canada and Mexico this summer, MLS will pause their schedule during the tournament from May 25 to July 16.
The tournament will be played in 16 cities across the three nations, with the tournament played from June 11 to July 19.
MLS will return to the league schedule following the World Cup semifinals with a slate of rivalry matchups on July 16 and 17. Nashville will host Atlanta United at Geodis Park on Friday, July 17, with the match broadcast on FOX.
New playoff schedule and TV options
Decision Day, the final weekend of the regular season, will happen on November 7, three weeks later than in 2025. This will push the entirety of the MLS Cup Playoffs after the FIFA November international window, meaning there won't be a momentum-killing break in the playoff schedule.
For the first time since the Apple TV deal was announced, all matches will be available without the MLS Season Pass subscription. Starting in 2026, MLS matches will be included as part of Apple TV, meaning that subscribers won't need an additional subscription for MLS. An Apple TV subscription will be given to all Season Ticket Members as part of their package.
Additionally, FOX networks will broadcast 34 matches – 19 on FOX and FS1 hosting the other 15.
