NASHVILLE, TN - Nashville SC have called up Huntsville City midfielder Alan Carleton for their match against Toronto FC.
The 20-year-old attacker was a surprise inclusion in last month's 1-0 win against DC United, coming off the bench for the final 21 minutes. With Jonny Pérez suspended and Jacob Shaffelburg injured, Carleton is a late addition to the squad to bring some attacking impetus off the bench.

Per MLS rules, clubs may call up a player from their MLS NEXT Pro affiliate to a maximum four short-term loans per season, each good for one MLS match. While they're able to be in the match-day squad for four matches, a player can only appear in two MLS matches. Any more would require them to be signed to a full MLS contract.
In 13 appearances for Huntsville City, Carleton has logged five goals and five assists. He leads the team in goal contributions and is just three goals behind team leading scorer Christian Koffi, who appeared on the bench for Nashville in their 3-2 US Open Cup win over Orlando City.
