Nashville SC captain Walker Zimmerman returned to the squad on Saturday night, ending a month-and-a-half long absence. The defender suffered a concussion after taking a bicycle kick to the face against Charlotte FC on April fifth, missing nine matches while in the league's concussion protocol.

Nashville won six of nine matches without Zimmerman in all competitions, with their sole loss coming on the road against Seattle Sounders. In that stretch they outscored their opponents 18-8. They now add back one of the most dominant defenders in MLS into a high-functioning team, currently sitting in fourth place in MLS's Eastern Conference.
