Nashville SC will face Liga MX powerhouse Tigres UNAL in the Conacaf Champions Cup semifinals, who advanced past the Seattle Sounders on away goals after a 3-3 aggregate scoreline in their quarterfinal matchup.
Founded in 1960, Tigres are another giant of Mexican soccer. They've won eight Liga MX titles, finishing as runners up in the 2025 Apertura last fall. Internationally, they've won the Concacaf Champions Cup once, defeating Los Angeles FC in the final in 2020.
Located in Monterrey, Tigres play in Estadio Universitario, located on the campus of the Autonomous University of Nuevo León. The 41,615-seat venue is nicknamed "El Volcán" ("The Volcano"), and has been one of the more imposing venues in Concacaf.

Tigres have impressed on their way to the Champions Cup semifinals. After beating Canadian Premier League side Forge FC in the Round of 32, they took down FC Cincinnati in the Round of 16. Despite a 3-0 loss in the away leg, they scored a crucial goal in the 98th minute of the home leg to win 5-1, barely edging out a 5-4 aggregate win.
In the semifinals, Tigres won the home leg 2-0, and got a crucial away goal in a 3-1 loss in Seattle to advance on away goals, despite a late onslaught from the Sounders.
Featuring players like former France international striker André-Pierre Gignac, El Tri winger Diego Lainez, and Argentina international Ángel Correa, Tigres have a loaded roster. They've been less convincing in Liga MX play, though, currently in sixth place in the Clausura table after losing six of their opening 14 matches.
Nashville will host the first leg at Geodis Park on April 28-30. They'll return to Monterrey for the away leg on May 5-7, with a spot in the Concacaf Champions Cup final on the line.
