MONTERREY, MX – Nashville SC's 2026 Concacaf Champions Cup run ended in the semifinals on Tuesday night, with the Boys In Gold falling 1-0 to Tigres in a tight match in front of a capacity crowd at Estadio Universitario.

Standout performers
- Thrown into a starting role just 15 minutes before kickoff, Bryan Acosta didn't put a foot wrong, defending admirably and moving the ball crisply.
- Matt Corcoran was similarly excellent in midfield, growing into the game and pushing the ball forward for Nashville. The 20-year-old didn't look over-awed by the moment.

Nashville already had a difficult test playing in Tigres, even with a fully healthy lineup. Sam Surridge and Eddi Tagseth were already out with injury, but Patrick Yazbek suffered an injury at the very end of warmups, needing to be replaced by Bryan Acosta just 15 minutes before kickoff.
What it means
Nashville can hold their heads high after a memorable run deep in the tournament, but the loss also reinforced the major disadvantage MLS teams find themselves at against the top-tier clubs in Mexico. While both sides dealt with injuries and absences, the sheet quality of depth available to Tigres was staggering.
Still, Nashville had moments in which they could have been better. Losing in Tigres on its own isn't anything to be ashamed of, but the way Nashville conceded was quite painful.
Nashville don't have much time to think this one over, needing to turn around quickly and maintain their form in MLS. If they can hold their place in the MLS standings for the next three weeks, they'll have nearly two months to regroup over the summer, and come back fresh for a playoff push after the World Cup.
