NASHVILLE, TN – On Thursday, Nashville SC announced that their friendly match against Birmingham Legion, initially schedule for Saturday, January 31, has been postponed due to inclement winter weather.

BREAKING: Birmingham Legion’s friendly with Nashville SC this weekend is off due to the weather. The club has started informing fans who bought tickets. As the match was part of Matthew Corcoran’s sale, it will be rescheduled at a later date, but unlikely to be this preseason.

The match was set to be held at Birmingham's Protective Stadium, but an arctic blast is set to sweep through much of the south just a week after Winter Storm Fern wreaked havoc on the area. Saturday's temperature's weren't set to rise above 28º in Birmingham, with the wind chill making it feel like 18º and lows dipping into the single digits.

The clubs are working to reschedule the match for a later date at some point over the summer.
