Nashville SC will kick off their 2025 MLS Cup Playoffs campaign in Florida, starting their Round One best-of-three series against Lionel Messi and Inter Miami on Friday night.
The two sides will return to Nashville for the second leg of the series, with a potential third match to be played at Miami's Chase Stadium if needed.
Round One playoff schedule
- Friday, October 24 — 7:25 pm CT (Chase Stadium)
- Saturday, November 1 — 6:30 pm CT (Geodis Park)
- Saturday, November 8 — Time TBD (Chase Stadium - if necessary)
The Boys In Gold finished in sixth place in the MLS Eastern Conference, with their 54 points matching their club best, set back in 2021 when they finished in third, tied on points with second-placed Philadelphia Union.

Nashville have lost both of their matches with Miami this season, falling 2-1 in Miami in July to end a 15-match unbeaten run. On the final day of the regular season, they were blown out 5-2, letting a 2-1 halftime lead slip. In their two meetings this season, Lionel Messi has scored five goals.
After winning the Supporters' Shield in 2024, Inter Miami were shockingly dumped out of the playoffs in Round One last season. Atlanta United, who had qualified via the play-in round, pulled off one of the most surprising upsets in league history, knocking them out in three matches to advance to the conference semifinals.
Nashville SC's best-ever playoff finish came in 2021, falling to the Philadelphia Union in the conference semifinals in a penalty shootout.
