Nashville SC's season-defining week

With two matches against Supporters' Shield contenders and a US Open Cup semifinal, the next seven days are crucial

Next week will be one of the most important seven days in Nashville SC history.

The Boys In Gold are currently in fourth place in MLS's Eastern Conference. In their first season under head coach BJ Callaghan, they've found themselves again. In fact, they're playing the best soccer we've seen from the club in six seasons in Major League Soccer.

Through 29 matches, they've earned 50 points. Only in 2021 did they top this in a full 34 game season, earning 54 points en route to a third place finish (they were tied on points with second-place Philadelphia Union, and ahead on goal differential, slipping to third only on matches won). They're six goals away from tying their club-high 54, also set in 2021.
