Nashville's Geodis Park announced as host venue for 2028 Summer Olympics

The largest soccer-specific stadium in the United States set to host men's and women's matches for LA28

NASHVILLE, TN — On Tuesday, the LA28 Olympics and Paralympic Games announced that six additional venues across the United States will host matches for the 2028 Olympic Football Tournament. Nashville's Geodis Park is one of the venues.

These venues will host group and knockout stage matches, leading up to the final stage matches at Los Angeles's Rose Bowl Stadium, including the men's gold medal match (July 28, 2028) and women's gold medal match (July 29, 2028).

Stadiums

Six stadiums across the United States have been selected to host. Each of them is the home stadium of a Major League Soccer club.

  • Etihad Park (New York, NY) – the home of New York City FC, set to be completed in 2027. Capacity: 25,000.
  • ScottsMiracle-Gro Field (Columbus, OH) – the home of the Columbus Crew, opened in 2021. Capacity: 20,371.
  • Geodis Park (Nashville, TN) – The home of Nashville SC, opened in 2022. Capacity: 30,109.
  • Energizer Park (St. Louis, MO) – The home of St. Louis City SC, opened in 2022. Capacity: 22,423.
  • PayPal Park (San Jose, CA) – The home of the San Jose Earthquakes, opened in 2015. Capacity: 18,000.
  • Snapdragon Stadium (San Diego, CA) – The home of San Diego FC and San Diego Wave FC, opened in 2022. Capacity: 35,000.

The schedule for both the women’s and men’s tournaments, including the dates and match distribution per stadium, will be announced before the first ticket drop in April 2026. The specific team matchups will be revealed later, following further progress in the LA28 Olympic qualification process for soccer and the official tournament draw.
