Nashville SC is flying high after a stellar start to the 2025 season. The Boys in Gold have defied expectations, including our own. Last week, we took a look back at our preseason predictions, what we got right, and where we missed the mark.

With half of a season of data points and the second half on the horizon, the SixOneFive Soccer staff is refreshing its predictions for the rest of the season.

Midseason Scorecard: Looking back at our preseason predictions for Nashville SC

Do Nashville SC finish in the Top 4 of the Eastern Conference?

Ben Wright: I think so, but it’ll be close. I’m worried enough about Cincinnati that I could see one of them dropping out of the top four, and I’m not sure I trust Orlando or Columbus to push past Nashville at this point. They play on the road a lot in the second half of the season, but many of those games are against beatable teams.

Valair Shabilla: No, but I don’t think they’ll be far from it.

Chris Ivey: No. The underlying numbers are high on Nashville, but the home-heavy schedule mitigates the figures. Ten of the final 17 matches will come away from Geodis Park.

Jeff Remlinger: Yes. I think there are six teams fighting for four spots so the math is on their side. While they do have a lot of away games left, they’re against lesser opponents. I expect the away form to improve.

Omari Jackson: Yes. This team is trending in the right direction and have recently found ways to get results on the road. Unbeaten in their last four away games.

Ronan Briscoe: Yes, but not by much. It’s very tight among the teams battling for those top positions, and Nashville will benefit from some of them playing deep into Leagues Cup, and at least three games in Club World Cup in the case of Inter Miami.

Christina Moore: Yes, but not without scaring us all first. There are some tough games coming up, but where there is a will there's a way. We'll also see the reintroduction of the feisty Tyler Boyd, who will fit nicely in BJ’s game.

What defines success for the remainder of the season?

Ben: Winning the US Open Cup and making a deep run in the playoffs.
