Here at SixOneFive Soccer, we're introducing our newest series: Subscriber Spotlight.

In this new series, paid subscribers can submit content ideas to the SixOneFive Soccer editorial team in our Discord channel. Once submissions ideas are accepted, we'll work with you to fine-tune and edit your story before publishing.

For the first installment in this new series, we have Jessica McConnell, who has travelled to multiple away Nashville SC games and has drafted up the perfect itinerary for any fans traveling to Atlanta for their match on Saturday, May 3.

Take it away, Jessica!

Atlanta United - Saturday, May 3 - 1:45 PM

Want to make the trip for an away match or two this season? Leave it to me, a travel girlie-turned-soccer fan to help you out.

I know many of you have been to Atlanta for a match or two, but hopefully I’ll share some suggestions you haven’t tried before. If you’ve never been, it's a great easy weekend trip to make!

The concession prices and options in Mercedes-Benz Stadium alone are worth the drive. What other stadium can you get a drink and hot dog for $2 each?

Activities

Ponce City Rooftop

Most people heading to Atlanta are probably already aware of Ponce City Market. I’m going to provide some alternative suggestions as well, but if you’ve never visited, I highly recommend checking it out. Bonus tip: if you have kids with you, look into the fun activities on their rooftop.

Flight Club-Darts

If you’re looking for a fun group activity, try out Flight Club Atlanta. It’s like bowling or Putt Shack for darts! They even have a full food and drink menu, or afterwards you can grab Torchy’s next door.

High Museum of Art

If you’re not into darts or maybe want a solo activity, I recommend visiting the High Museum of Art. They have free Docent led tours with your admission ticket Tuesday- Sunday starting at 1 PM.

However, with over 20,000 works of art, there is plenty for you to explore on your own. Their regular admission is $23.50.

Food

Gu's Dumplings - Krog Street Market

My must visit spot anytime I’m in Atlanta is Gu’s Dumplings at the Krog Street Market. Their dumplings are amazing, that's all I have to say.

If dumplings are not for you the market has many other tasty options. The market also offers easy access to the beltline, if you want to walk after consuming lots of dumplings, or even rent a bike.

Politan Row Food Hall

Another unique food hall to check out is Politan Row at Colony Square. It has a little bit more of an upscale vibe. It even has DJs frequently on the weekends. If the weather is nicer, there is a large outdoor area where you can enjoy your food.

Roselight Disco room at JoJo’s Beloved

While you’re at Politan Row, I recommend checking out JoJo’s Beloved Cocktail Bar, which houses the Roselight Disco Room. Reservations are recommended to get a table in the front room, but the dance floor and bar are open seating.

Other Sports
