Ahmed Qasem: "MLS is a good league for us offensive players"

Christina Moore-SixOneFive Soccer

NASHVILLE, Tenn. - Life in Music City couldn't have started much better for Ahmed Qasem.

Signed to Nashville SC for a hefty transfer fee, he made his club debut just a day after getting his work permit. He'd barely had time to train with his new club before being thrust straight into the action, playing a few minutes at the end of Nashville's 0-0 draw with New England. The progression continued next weekend, with Qasem playing over 30 minutes in a 2-0 loss to New York Red Bulls, providing a spark off the bench and setting up a goal for Sam Surridge that was disallowed for offside.
