On Sunday, Nashville SC captain Hany Mukhtar etched his name further into history, scoring his 100th goal for the club with a pinpoint free kick against Los Angeles FC.

Mukhtar has been the centerpiece of Nashville's attack since arriving as the club's first-ever Designated Player, ahead of their 2020 MLS expansion season. After scoring five goals during the 2020 Covid-shortened season, Mukhtar has managed double-digit goals in all but one season with Nashville, winning the 2022 MLS MVP award after a stellar season that saw him lead the league with 26 goals and 12 assists.

What a way to hit 100 goals for @NashvilleSC! pic.twitter.com/XxVPL8wDR8
Since 2020, no player in MLS has logged more regular-season goals than Mukhtar's 87 goals. Mukhtar has been by far Nashville's most productive player, with his 170 goal contributions in all competitions nearly 100 more than the next-closest player (Sam Surridge – 72).
Mukhtar recently became the third-fastest player in league history to reach 150 goal contributions, requiring only 188 games to hit that mark. Only Landon Donovan (178) and Preki (181) reached 150 faster.
Nashville SC are currently in first place in the Eastern Conference, and firmly in contention for the Supporters' Shield with eight wins from their first 12 matches played.
