Nashville SC forward Hany Mukhtar officially clinched the MLS Golden Boot on Sunday, finishing the 2022 season as the league’s top scorer.
With 23 goals, Mukhtar finished ahead of Austin FC’s Sebastián Driussi and Philadelphia Union’s Daniel Gazdag, who each grabbed 22 goals. His 11 assists gave him the most goal contributions in the regular season, the second-consecutive year in which he’s league the league in that category.

In addition to the Golden Boot, Mukhtar is the frontrunner for the Landon Donovan MLS MVP award. Voting closes tomorrow afternoon, with the final award set to be announced in the lead up to MLS Cup.
