Nashville SC have made their first move of the summer transfer window, announcing the signing of U22 midfielder Patrick Yazbek. Nashville had been linked to a $3.2 million purchase for Yazbek for the past month, as first reported by Norwegian outlet Nettavisen.

The Australian midfielder, formerly with Viking FK in the Norwegian Eliteserien, is big investment in improving Nashville’s struggling midfield. Yazbek signs as a U22 Initiative player. With the recent announced changes in MLS roster rules giving teams six “prime roster slots” with which to work, Yazbek is one of the first implementations of this added flexibility.
