Nashville SC winger Jonny Pérez will miss Saturday evening's match against Inter Miami CF, serving a single-match suspension for a red card he received last weekend.
The 22-year-old, on loan from the LA Galaxy, was sent off in the 63rd minute of their 1-0 win over the Philadelphia Union when a high boot inadvertently caught the face of Tai Baribo, drawing a straight red card from referee Rubiel Vazquez.

It was the first sending off of Pérez's career. In 22 matches before this season, Pérez had only earned one yellow card. So far in 2025, Pérez has been booked four times in addition to the sending off. Unfortunately, when Pérez returns from suspension for Wednesday's match against the Columbus Crew, he'll immediately be on yellow card watch, meaning a booking would trigger yet another single-match suspension.

In 2025, Pérez has become a crucial piece of Nashville's squad. The Mexican youth international has played in 18 of Nashville's 24 matches, starting eight games. He's started six of the last nine matches for Nashville, scoring two goals and adding two assists in all competitions.
Pérez is on loan with Nashville through the end of the 2025 season, although the LA Galaxy have the option to recall him during the summer transfer window. Nashville have a purchase option for Pérez, which sources have told SixOneFive Soccer reaches as high as $1 million in General Allocation Money.
