Joe Willis nominated for MLS Save of the Year

Willis's double save against St. Louis is on the ballot

Nashville SC goalkeeper Joe Willis has been nominated for MLS's Save of the Year award.

The veteran shot-stopper is up for the award for a brilliant double save in a 3-1 loss away to St. Louis City SC, returning to play in his hometown for the first time in his professional career. Willis made two blocks in quick succession, denying Tomáš Ostrák with a kick save from a tight angle before a spectacular diving effort to tip a shot from Marcel Hartel over the bar.

Voting for the MLS Save of the Year is open here.
