NASHVILLE, TN – On Thursday, Major League Soccer and Nashville SC announced the schedule for the 2027 Sprint Season.

The league is transitioning its calendar from the old spring-to-fall format to a new calendar, which will begin in July and finish with MLS Cup in May. The first season under the new format will begin in July 2027, and to fill the gap, the league is holding a shortened 14-match regular season in the spring, complete with MLS Cup Playoffs in May before heading into the summer offseason.

The Sprint Season will kick off on February 19, and conclude with Decision Day on May 8. Due to the compressed format, teams will only play against clubs in their own conference,

The top eight teams in each conference will qualify for the 2027 MLS Cup Playoffs, which will follow a single-elimination bracket format all the way to MLS Cup, which will be played on Memorial Day weekend.
