The final match of Nashville SC and Inter Miami CF's Round One MLS Cup Playoffs series has been officially set after the Boys In Gold won the second leg 2-1 at Geodis Park. The two sides will play the third and final leg at Miami's Chase Stadium on Saturday, November 8, at 7 pm CT.
Nashville's win was their first in 10 attempts since Lionel Messi joined Miami in the summer of 2023. Sam Surridge and Josh Bauer's first-half goals were enough for the Boys In Gold to force the series to Game 3, before Messi pulled a late goal back in the final minute of regulation.
The winner of Game 3 will advance to the Eastern Conference semifinals against either FC Cincinnati or Columbus Crew. Should Cincinnati advance, Nashville or Miami would travel to TQL Stadium for the match. If Columbus advance, Nashville or Miami would host.
