Nashville SC striker Sam Surridge will miss Tuesday night's Concacaf Champions Cup Quarterfinal match against Club América. Surridge did not travel to Mexico City with the team on Monday, a source confirmed to SixOneFive Soccer.

Per a Nashville SC spokesperson, Surridge is dealing with a hamstring injury, and his status is "day-to-day".

Surridge, 27, is Nashville's leading scorer with eight goals in all competitions, and leads the MLS Golden Boot race with seven. He's accounted for 35% of Nashville's 23 goals this season.

Surridge has played in all but 13 matches since joining Nashville SC in the summer of 2023, missing just nine matches through injury. With Surridge in the lineup, Nashville have won 56, drawn 26, and lost 46, a win rate of 43.8% while scoring 1.48 per game. Without him, Nashville have won six, drawn three and lost four, a win rate of 46.2%, but averaging 1.38 goals a game.

After drawing 0-0 in the first leg at Geodis Park, Nashville will play their first-ever match in Mexico without one of their most important players. They'll need a result to advance, either an outright win or a scoring draw to advance on away goals.
