Sam Surridge and Hany Mukhtar named to MLS Team of Matchday 16

Nashville SC midfielder Hany Mukhtar has been named to the MLS Team of Matchday 16, with Sam Surridge selected to the bench, after their performance in a 2-2 draw with Columbus Crew. The two Designated Players were responsible for Nashville's goals against the Crew. Surridge moved up to third in the MLS Golden Boot race, behind Tai Baribo (13) and Brian White (10).

Mukthar scored his seventh goal of the campaign in the second half, combining with Jacob Shaffelburg after a quick throw-in from Surridge to put Nashville ahead late in the match. Columbus equalized shortly after.

Surridge opened the scoring just two minutes into the match, smashing home a cross from Patrick Yazbek to give Nashville the lead.
