Ben Wright (SixOneFive Soccer): What's life been like in the first year under Michael Bradley? Has his tenure lived up to expectations so far?
Mark Fishkin (Seeing Red): Michael Bradley's maturation as a Head Coach has continued as the season has gone on. In 2025, Bradley took a first-place RBNYII squad and led them the MLS Next Pro title. Under Head of Sport Julian de Guzman, the Red Bulls' coach has given a lot of minutes not to New York's young stars, but to elevated Red Bull II players like teen left back Matty Dos Santos and newly promoted forward Mijahir Jiménez. BW: Could you describe some of the frustrations that fans are feeling towards the ownership group?
MF: In their 31 seasons, RBNY fans are still waiting for the team's first MLS Cup. The fans want ownership to do everything possible to win that title. However, a primary focus on youth development and New York's quality academy has frustrated many Red Bulls fans.
The team's only summer window addition has been the elevation of the aforementioned forward Jiménez. Despite the club recently opening an impressive $100M+ performance center, fans believe that there's more that can be done.
