NASHVILLE, TN – Nashville SC midfielder Patrick Yazbek has been called up to the Australia squad for the upcoming FIFA international window.
The Socceroos will take on Brazil in a pair of friendlies in Australia, first in Townsville on Friday, September 25, and then in Brisbane on Tuesday, September 29.

Yazbek, 24, has made 23 appearances in all competitions for Nashville. The box-to-box midfielder was a crucial piece of Nashville's run to the Concacaf Champions Cup semifinals before suffering a severe quad injury in warmups ahead of their 1-0 loss to Tigres. Yazbek was out for a total of 13 matches, and missed the 2026 FIFA World Cup, where he looked set to play a role for Australia.

Yazbek has been capped nine times for Australia since making his debut in March 2024. He played in seven of Australia's last 10 matches before the World Cup, and looks set to be an important part of the squad in the 2030 World Cup cycle.
Yazbek is the fourth Nashville SC player to be called up to their national teams during the upcoming international break. The league is set to play a full slate of games on September 26 and 27, with all 30 clubs playing through the first part of the international break.
Nashville SC head coach BJ Callaghan will have several selection dilemmas in the lead up to their match against Toronto on September 26 at Geodis Park.
