After advancing through Inter Miami and Club América undefeated, Nashville SC lost 1-0 to Tigres UANL in the CONCACAF Champions Cup semi-final at Geodis Park.
The biggest news of the match came before kickoff, as Nashville's star striker Sam Surridge was omitted from the squad due to an injury. The match was also delayed one hour due to inclement weather.

Let's see how each player performed.
• Players begin with a base grade of 6 and can increase or decrease their rating based on performance.
• Players must play a minimum of 15 minutes to earn a rating.
Brian Schwake - 9.0
Brian Schwake had an otherworldly save in the first half and kept the score level at the time. He had five other saves throughout the match, a couple of which were incredible. He was Nashville's Man of the Match and the only reason they didn't concede more goals.

Reed Baker-Whiting - 6.0
It wasn't the best of nights for Reed Baker-Whiting, who struggled to do much with the ball. He didn't connect with a player in any of his four crosses. He was solid defensively, and his versatility is still a big plus.

Sofascore Rating: 6.4
Maxwell Woledzi - 7.0
Maxwell Woledzi was good on both sides of the ball, but he seemed frustrated as the game went on. His body language and instructions to his teammates were more animated than usual. At times, he contributed to the chaos of Nashville's attack rather than calming things down.

Sofascore Rating: 7.0
Jeisson Palacios - 6.0
Jeisson Palacios was calm and collected for most of the match, until the last 15 minutes. He became more agitated, picked up a yellow card, and his passes became inaccurate.

Andy Nájar - 7.5
Almost everything in the attack for Nashville was put on Andy Nájar's shoulders. He ended his shift with 89 touches and 56/66 accurate passes. Impressive numbers for a fullback, but it also shows why Nashville struggled to build up attacks.

Sofascore Rating: 6.6
Patrick Yazbek - 6.5
At times, Patrick Yazbek struggled with the pace of the game, especially when Tigres sped things up with the ball. When Nashville were in the attacking third, he was rushed to make a decision and often didn't make the right one.

Sofascore Rating: 6.9
The tempo Tigres are playing at right now is at a completely different level to anything Nashville have seen this season. Every single player moves the ball so quickly, and they're winning every 50/50. Nashville really struggling right now.

Eddi Tagseth - N/A
Eddi Tagseth's night came to an end earlier than anyone anticipated, as he was subbed off in the 18th minute due to an injury. Unfortunate scene for the Norwegian and Nashville SC, with games coming thick and fast.

Sofascore Rating: 6.7
Alex Muyl - 5.5
Alex Muyl was good defensively, but his touches on the ball were lower than what his position requires. He was a big reason for Nashville's called-off goal; he did well to get in the right position, but seemed hesitant on what to do next.

Cristian Espinoza - 6.0
Cristian Espinoza had an off night, but it wasn't due to a lack of effort. He was active on both sides of the ball, but the Mexican side did well to close down his lanes. He had Nashville's best (only?) real chance of the game, and required a great save from Nahuel Guzmán.

Sofascore Rating: 6.6
Cristian Espinoza had 16 (SIXTEEN!!!) crosses tonight and not a single one of them connected with a Nashville player. Some of those are probably on Espinoza, but this shows just how important Sam Surridge is in the box.

Even when he doesn't score, the pressure alone helps NSH.
Hany Mukhtar - 6.0
Hany Mukhtar thrives on rhythm and dictating the tempo of the match. Tigres ensured that he couldn't do either. He often had to drop deeper than usual to receive the ball, which left him in a tough position to break down an organized defense. He was also man-marked throughout the match and struggled to beat his marker.

Warren Madrigal - 5.0
If this grade was based on effort off the ball, Warren Madrigal would have a 10/10. Unfortunately for the Costa Rican, more is required. Six touches and three accurate passes in 80 minutes is simply not good enough. He also had multiple crosses come his way, and he couldn't connect with the ball.

Substitutes
Matt Corcoran - 5.5
Matt Corcoran's lack of experience and naivety were apparent throughout his shift. Coming on in the 18th minute for the injured Tagseth didn't help his case either. He seemed fazed by Tigres, especially off the ball, and could've done much better in preventing the only goal of the match. While he wasn't woeful on the ball, he wasn't a solution either.

Ahmed Qasem - 6.0
Nashville's refusal to play on the left side hurt Ahmed Qasem during his cameo. When the ball got to him, he moved it better and quicker than Muyl. He also put himself in good positions. However, the frantic nature of Nashville's attack doesn't fit his style.

Daniel Lovitz - N/A
Dan Lovitz completed all of his passes and was helpful on both sides of the ball, despite his limited touches.

Woobens Pacius played for 15 minutes and didn't touch the ball once.

Manager
BJ Callaghan - 7.0
BJ Callaghan was dealt a huge blow with the Surridge injury. He played a strong lineup; perhaps the only criticism is not starting Qasem instead of Muyl, although that is not guaranteed to result in a Nashville goal. The work he has to do for the second leg is more mental than tactical.
