Brian Schwake had two great saves in the first half and was very good throughout the match. The two goals conceded were from close range, and his defenders let him down. Things could've been much worse for Nashville without him.

Overall, a good performance for Reed Baker-Whitinig. The defender was deployed on the right side to start the match, then switched to the left later. He seemed just as comfortable on both sides, which is a huge testament to his versatility.
He could've tracked back faster during Toronto's first goal and made a play on the ball. Instead, he was too late to arrive at his own box.

Jack Maher - 5.0
Things are getting tougher for Jack Maher as he continues to struggle during his appearances. To be fair to the defender, Nashville's entire defensive unit didn't look up to par against Toronto. However, both goals came from plays he was involved in.
He was caught too high up the pitch for the first, and wasn't strong enough in the second.

Maxwell Woledzi - 6.5
Maxwell Woledzi didn't have his best game defensively, especially dealing with Josh Sargent early in the match, but he still moved the ball forward well. He had a couple of shaky moments on and off the ball, but none of them led to anything major for Toronto.

Dan Lovitz - 6.0
Dan Lovitz was fine throughout the night. He had a couple of good long balls and progressed the ball forward well. He could've closed down Theo Corbeanu better to prevent the cross during Toronto's first goal.

Matt Corcoran - 5.5
It wasn't a bad performance from Matt Corcoran, especially on the ball. However, the young midfielder struggled a bit with how transitional the game became. He was caught in awkward positions a few times, including during Toronto's second goal, when he lost his man and didn't react fast enough.

Eddi Tagseth - 6.0
Eddi Tagseth did enough to keep things moving for Nashville, but didn't have much impact on the game. He was still very active in midfield, and his pressing is some of the best in the team.

Elias Saad had another good showing in gold. He was unlucky not to get on the scoresheet and was denied a couple of times by Luka Gavran. Overall, he was very active in attack and secure on the ball. Probably Nashville's best attacker on the night.

Not a classic performance from Cristian Espinoza, who uncharacteristically seemed a step behind the rest of the attack. He struggled to connect on many passes and at times looked frustrated on the right side.

Hany Mukhtar had multiple chances to affect the game, but wasn't able to convert them. His 79% passing accuracy is fairly low, especially by his standards. It was clear that he wasn't able to dictate as much of the game as he usually does.

Sam Surridge - 6.0
Sam Surridge was much more involved in the attack than usual, but unfortunately, he wasn't able to turn it into anything substantial. Like Mukhtar, he had a couple of chances to make an impact but didn't have the final ball.
He doubled his accurate passes per 90 and dropped deep often to receive the ball. While he is capable of playing the carrier role, Nashville would probably prefer him to be in and around the box more often. Scoring one goal away from home this season isn't enough.

BJ Callaghan - 6.5
BJ Callaghan lightly rotated the squad, but that shouldn't be an excuse for the result. Toronto seemingly surprised Nashville with how transitional they made the game. Perhaps the game plan from Callaghan and his coaching staff should've seen that coming.
He made the right substitutions to maintain more control, but they came a bit later than the game required.
