NASHVILLE, TN - Nashville SC announced the signing of attacker Ahmed Qasem from Swedish club IF Elfsborg. Qasem, 21, has signed through the 2027 season with options for 2028, and will occupy a U22 Initiative spot.

“Ahmed is a dynamic attacking player who has the ability to create and finish scoring opportunities,” said Nashville SC General Manager Mike Jacobs in the club's press release. “His athleticism and versatility enable him to contribute in a number of different roles and options.”

Qasem is the third player acquired by Nashville from the Scandanavian leagues, with Patrick Yazbek and Eddi Tagseth joining from Norway within the last six months.

Able to play on either wing or in a more central attacking role, Qasem has made 87 appearances for Elfsborg since joining in 2021. In 2024, he scored a total of eight goals and six assists, including playing against Tottenham Hotspur and AS Roma in the UEFA Europa League.

Internationally, Qasem has represented Sweden at the youth levels, making 10 appearances for the U-19 team and five for the U-21s.

Qasem will wear the number 37 shirt for Nashville.
