NASHVILLE, TN – As part of their end-of-season roster decisions, Nashville SC announced that they’ve triggered the purchase option for winger Jacob Shaffelburg from Toronto FC for $250,000 in General Allocation Money, plus an additional $50,000 of conditional GAM.
As part of the trade, Shaffelburg has signed a four year contract with Nashville SC, with an additional club option for the 2027 season.

Shaffelburg, 22, joined Nashville on loan in August 2022, playing in nine matches and scoring twice. The Nova Scotia native gave Nashville a much-needed spark on the wings, injecting pace and directness into a side that had grown all too predictable.

A fringe player for the Canadian national team, Shaffelburg saw his career revitalized in Music City after a difficult spell in Toronto. With Fafà Picault acquired last week, Nashville now have a pair of goal dangerous, vertical wingers to stretch the field and hopefully add more goals in 2023.
